Bright, delicate, and refreshing — a roast shaped for clarity, crafted for patience, and made to shine through every filter brew.

Hope Valley Filter is named for one of Derbyshire’s most beautiful landscapes — a place of light, openness, and balance. It embodies the same qualities in the cup: a coffee that feels spacious, expressive, and full of detail. Roasted lighter with exclusive micro-lots to preserve delicate sugars and natural acidity, this single-origin roast is designed to showcase its terroir with clarity. Best enjoyed through pour-over, Chemex, V60, or batch brew, it rewards patience with a layered, refreshing sweetness. It's the opposite of heavy: an invitation to slow down and savour the subtlety in every sip.

Why You'll Love It:

  • A lighter roast that highlights nuance, aroma, and brightness.

  • Perfect for pour-overs and filter brewing — clarity at its finest.

  • A modern expression of micro-lot speciality coffee, true to single-estate character.

Perfect For:

  • Slow, mindful mornings with a V60 or Chemex at hand.

  • Brewing for friends who appreciate complexity and brightness.

  • Anyone seeking a coffee that feels more like a conversation than a shout.

  • Coffee needs time to de-gas after roasting. For espresso, let it rest for a few days before brewing.

    • Espresso:

Start with a 1:2 ratio (18 g in → 36 g out) in 25–30 seconds. Adjust the grind to taste. Expect caramel sweetness with a rounded finish.

    • Stovetop / Moka Pot:

Fill basket evenly, avoid tamping, and brew gently. Produces a rich, chocolatey cup.

    • Filter / Drip:

Aim for a brew ratio of 60g/l with faster brew times for pourover (2-3mins) and a longer brew time for immersion brew methods such as the cafetiere (4 mins). Adjust your grind size to taste.
