A single-estate treasure, roasted with patience and precision — a coffee carved from stone, shaped by time, poured with purpose.
Millstone Single Estate is a celebration of clarity and craftsmanship. Named for the old millstones that once lined Cromford’s waterways, it embodies endurance and focus — a coffee honed down to its purest form. Unlike blends that weave together many voices, this is a complex soloist: one origin, one farm, one unbroken story from soil to cup. Every batch is roasted with care in Derbyshire, preserving the terroir that makes this Central American coffee distinct. Like the grindstone that sharpens with each turn, Millstone represents discipline, heritage, and purity — a reminder that sometimes the simplest things carry the deepest resonance.
Why You'll Love It:
Elegant and expressive — a medium roast that highlights clarity and complexity.
A showcase of true single-estate integrity: nothing hidden, nothing blended away.
Perfect for slow brews (pour-over, Chemex, Aeropress) where its layered character shines.
Perfect For:
Black espresso or filter-based brewing.
A mindful morning ritual, where the act of brewing becomes a pause in time.
Anyone seeking a coffee that is as much about place and patience as it is about flavour.
Millstone Single Origin
Coffee needs time to de-gas after roasting. For espresso, let it rest for a few days before brewing.
• Espresso:
Start with a 1:2 ratio (18 g in → 36 g out) in 25–30 seconds. Adjust the grind to taste. Expect caramel sweetness with a rounded finish.
• Stovetop / Moka Pot:
Fill basket evenly, avoid tamping, and brew gently. Produces a rich, chocolatey cup.
• Filter / Drip:
Aim for a brew ratio of 60g/l with faster brew times for pourover (2-3mins) and a longer brew time for immersion brew methods such as the cafetiere (4 mins). Adjust your grind size to taste.
